The lag spikes are officially gone. The problem haunted us for weeks, starting up from the fuckup-shortcircuiting at local phone company.

The game server crashed yesterday due to a hardware failure (kernel panic). We are investigating the problem.

We have switched servers. The new server offers twice the firepower over the old one.

As a result, command limit has been increased from 10 to 20. Yippee.

Icesus is moving to a new host - a faster server. The move will happen on 31st August (Updated. Was 30th). The move will be followed by couple of hours downtime.

New address is ''goblin.icesus.org 23'', redirects will be put in place.

We have made arrangements to move Icesus to a faster server. The new server will have about 50-70% more computing power, hopefully breaking the backbone of the ferocious lagmonster for good.

More information will be posted later on. The move is scheduled to happen in May.

The game was unreachable today from 05:30 to 10:20 (EET; server time) because of a network failure at TeliaSonera's backbone network. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The game data was restored from backups taken yesterday at 17:20 server time. The rollback was around 16 hours.

The reason behind this was a series of crashes caused by a bug in the game driver.

To lessen the pain the elemental gods have granted an increased exp bonus for the next day.

A serious exp abuse was found from woodcutting code. It was possible to do a 11k/min exp rate by botting woodcutting with a few tweaks.
