While I don't wiz on this mud I sometimes code on a couple of other muds, (not lpc based unfortunately) and would be willing to learn how to adapt my skills to icesus.
A course would be useful to this end.

Why not make some new houses rent only.... Impossible to buy, so the only thing someone could do is pay rent for a very long time. Also limiting the housing to 1 per city could be a reasonable compromise. As a side query, is there anywhere that explains the province system in more detail? Just inter...

Why not have a single room as an entrance to a appartment block. Then you could use something like... Enter Astam's room or Enter Astam's house With the room or group of rooms and equipment being dynamicly created based on saved state, similar to how jars and vial containers simply recreate an equiv...
