+ you can move even with grow roots spell active if you have enough masteries I'm pretty sure you can always move with this spell on, no mastery required. Air Priests have some deverse ways of damaging undeads already. Some are very creative. The problem isn't that they need more ways, the problem is that the two coolest ways of damaging undeads, do so very little damage. Tweaking the damage a bit is all that needs done here.

If the animal is attacking you along with what you are already fighting then it would stay. But if it is helping you fight, it would get scared and flee once it sees you killed the other mob.
Flee meaning disappear from game in this case.

No, it's used during combat. While you're already fighting, you call animal, and then during combat it will arrive, either attacking you or your opponent, or just walking by.

In my opinion, this could work only if it's done with the gauntlets. You smash them together to create the effect, but you can't use coven touch after that until the shield disappears. This would balance it out.
