Ok... my thoughts: Siege weapons are fun, but as stated before, the idea behind siege weaponry was to lay siege to something- a town, a castle, a fortification... In Icesus, there isn't really the opportunity to do such. For Siege weapons to be effective, it's important to have a plethora of targets...

osma- many bigger mobs have specials that hit the back row. That being said, the idea behind the party-row setup is that the front row would function to keep hits from being taken by the bakc row- i.e. the back row would be farther behind, and the front row would keep themseleves between the monster...

Icesus was actually built to learn the english language. And we're not saying it's not doable because it's hard to code, ew're saying it would just create more problems that it fixes. archers have to unwield/rewield in order to go from archers-to weapons- this works for balance reasons and the whole...

Ok, besides being fundamentally HELL to implement (i'm assuming), I think the system Icesus uses is fine. being in a 'room' with a mob often means you're close enough for combat, and in order to initiate in hand-to-hand combat, you're going to close on them anyway. It's like opening doors. Essential...

I still maintain the whole 'diversity is cool' argument. Some guilds are newb oriented it seems, others highbie oriented, some mastery based, some that barely have useable masteries. This lets people chose the best place for THEM, and be happy no matter what kind of player they are. is this so horri...

no, if the 40m dancer has spent it's whole career as a dancer, then it's good that they're rewarded for their persistance. The 1G ubergood highbie could prolly make those masteries in weeks with their knowledge of the game and their abilities/stats. Think about it in real life terms.. Who's going to...

Draug- there are some guilds that are more doable w/o masteries then others. With guilds like earthpriests/sorcerers you really rock ass, but only after some hard work. w/ 800m would it be that hard to go crazy for a few weeks to get decent masteries? and if not, maybe a mastery-oriented guild isn't...

I like masteries. They reward you for staying in one place for a long time. Highbies shouldn't be able to reinc right away and kick ass just as well as the other people (at their exp) in the guild- I think it's cool to need to work your ass off to get 'good' at ANYTHING. And once again, you don't NE...

even if there is no benifit at all from owning a pet, i think it would be a fun feature. Would kind of let people personalize their appearance a little bit w/o writing it themselves, add some colour to the game in a way. pets imho, should be interactable with, but impossible to attack, or to have it...

allanon- I agree that manipulating objects to move (like making a marionette move around) would be possible as a psi, using telekinesis- but the point that's been argued is that the psionicists should be able to use it like a tank, in other words, somehow use an unimaginable amount fo concentration ...

Re: Life or no life?
Perhaps there could be a compromise, that a psi could essentially forfeit control over themselves to fully animate an inanimate object with the psionicist's own will. Functions that the object couldn't do on its own - sight without eyes, eating without a mouth - probably couldn't be done. And if su...

I'm not using a biblical view... not at all- I just pointed out that no guild thusfar has the ability to bring inanimate objects to life- in description or idea. I'm not saying the idea is out of the question, or shouldn't be in icesus- i'm not saying it shouldn't be possible to do. I'm saying that ...
