I think this change adds very little, if anything, to the who command since looking through individual main guilds was 100% suitable for the task already. For a casual player, several major problems are introduced if eq damage is made much more harsh than it is today...this is especially noticeable with some of the higher-end equipment. A single eq run on some of the best stuff can take anywhere between 4-8 hours of 6-9 players combining their efforts...

I think only the cooperation and maybe (big maybe) a signal flare would be useful. The other ideas are either already in the game (and available to air priests), don't make sense (wouldn't smoke cause the shadowdancer/archer to choke and thus not be useful for hiding?), or not really a solution to a...

I don't like the idea of having certain races just get hit with a default guard reaction. I think the aforementioned area that attacks elves on sight is a good example of an implementation that is too simplisitic for city/village areas.
