Actually, being covered in flames would make it harder to see anything around you and should probably give you worse sight. If you don't believe me, go into a dark room, shine a flashlight in your face and try to focus on anything in the room. :P[/b]

If you could kindly reference as to which post Dunn stated that, it would be much appreciated as a quick search through all of his posts on this thread do not show up any such statement by Dunn.

Air priests don't really need more power...they already occupy a crucial niche in most parties already. However, what would be interesting is for them to be more fleshed out and vivid beyond the normal "bread 'n butter" healing. Here's some suggestions: Allow high level/mastery air priests...

Exactly, I agree with Echcua on this point. If there isn't really any noticeable benefit in a "feature" it should not be present in the code. By keeping things simple, it is much easier to maintain and modify (if necessary) in the future.

I'm quite aware that the old ways work, but the new change has dubious value at best and takes away from attention that could be placed to more fruitful and useful gain.

I think this change adds very little, if anything, to the who command since looking through individual main guilds was 100% suitable for the task already. As it stands, most parties look for a specific type of blaster to work with and having them all jumbled up into one big mess doesn't really do an...

Though this is off to a tangent, it would be nice for smaller mounts and their subsequent smaller players to be able to fit into some areas that larger mounts are unable to. This would allow for some extra utility for the smaller mounts instead of having everyone default to saving up for that land w...

For a casual player, several major problems are introduced if eq damage is made much more harsh than it is today...this is especially noticeable with some of the higher-end equipment. A single eq run on some of the best stuff can take anywhere between 4-8 hours of 6-9 players combining their efforts...

I think that sort of setup just makes it very annoying for the casual player to play Icesus.

I think only the cooperation and maybe (big maybe) a signal flare would be useful. The other ideas are either already in the game (and available to air priests), don't make sense (wouldn't smoke cause the shadowdancer/archer to choke and thus not be useful for hiding?), or not really a solution to a...

I don't like the idea of having certain races just get hit with a default guard reaction. I think the aforementioned area that attacks elves on sight is a good example of an implementation that is too simplisitic for city/village areas. It would be more interesting if reputation still played a role ...

Ranger archers aren't half bad right now and likely would only need a small uptune if anything was touched. A bit more damage or better speed/accuracy with their mastery specials made a little better and last a little longer should do the trick, really. As blasters, rangers can take a good deal of h...
