I couldn't agree more with you. In fact, adding more widespread content has been a goal for quite some time. Just getting something useful and working in game has proven to be difficult (for example: taskmaster). If you got concrete suggestions for new features please post them. A good suggestion wo...

The code is around and was removed from game by me.

The reason was that it was being buggy and fixing proved to be too stressful for me.

Crash bug - Bugfix installed

The game crashed because of a bug in the game driver.

Cutter found and fixed the bug, it should not happen again. The game data was restored from the reboot this morning.

It seems that we have successfully fixed the crash problem. As of next reboot, we are returning to the traditional 31 hour reboot interval.

You can still enjoy of the experience bonus until next reboot.

Crashes, Restores and Experience Bonuses

The game's been crashing lately due to a bug in Linux kernel. I've installed an older, hopefully bugfree, kernel version with the hopes of ending the crashes for good. The game situation was restored from backups taken on previous boot (about 6 hours ago). To ease the pain of the problems we've had,...

Icesus has moved

Icesus has moved to a new service provider to get rid of the network problems. We are running on a dedicated server, using a high-speed 10Mbit/s network connection. Altough we have to pay for the network connection now, Icesus will remain free for all to play. We will continue to use the membership ...

We're moving!

Icesus is moving to a new host during this weekend. The continuous network problems (first announced in 11th September) forced us to switch to another ISP. The new ISP is a commercial one, which means we are paying them in hard cash. In return they provide us a commercial service level (24/7 emergen...

Network problems

Our service provider, the University of Jyväskylä, is having network problems. Apparently there is a machine gone rogue, sending a lot of small packets and overloading the routers. Apparently the network administration is trying to solve the problem, but until the machine causing all the trouble i...

I've found it very handy to set the delim to be multiple characters. For example, at the moment my delim is ;;;. That way it doesn't mess my smilies.

hint: those who don't know how to use delim, do 'set delim ;;;'

Re: A few ideas.

2. Currently, if you make a typo in the target of your spell, the spell finishes but doesn't cast at a monster. Would it be possible to check for the spell target before you are allowed to cast (instead of having to wait for the timer to reach 0)? My spells fail enough without me having to worry ab...

Also a simple way to make a map of your chosen zoom ratio..

Simply go to the map page and click on the 'full sized map' link. Then use any photo editing software to zoom it as much as you want.
