Could you paste us the data (screenshot maybe) of what actually happens/happened when you log back in? Would help a lot tracing the source of the problem. Also, if you caught flame by being LD first and then the fire thing was fixed and you logged back in, you would still probably be burned to death...

Did you use 'leave game' to quit, or 'ld'? ...Did you die of burning when you then came back? Sound like you did. Going ld keeps your character in an inaccessible room in the game, so that you don't lose anything that does not save over leaving the game (unsaveable items etc), so that when you log i...

suggestions
Will update this post so as to not spam the thread needlessly: I can provide some descs for stuff that are required, such as crit-messages for new types etc. These are suggestions, some of them are there only because other priesthood sec_guilds give something extra so mage + ap_sec -> sonic (thunder...

I've entertained similar thoughts of _sec guild giving something extra when paired with the right main guild, such as sorcerer + ep_sec to make windstorm (½ cold, ½ asphyx) -> sandstorm (½ physical, ½ asphyx) when desired (and tempest -> simoon), and infecti with fp_sec -> pyrokinetic di...

Army mechanic is supposed...ly to be simple, offering a good beginning learn-the-game-mechanics guild for a new player. Chaining strike is up there in simple stuff. I have had wet dreams of army actually having other maneuvers worth using in combat, though, but I don't feel like throwing chain would...

Wizards donate their free time so that you guys can enjoy the game and they get absolutely no compensation of any kind in return There are refreshments and occasional foodstuffs available at the annual Jää ry meeting, don't forget that! I saw you guzzling down those carrot/tomato juices and e...

I can see the problem, Healing spells got a general downtune 'a while back', and this could have been especially bad for low-level healers who don't even have 100% success rate. Well, they could spam healing touch repeatedly to get their mastery of curing up, I guess, but how much healing are we tal...

propaganda
--attracting a new userbase. I've been thinking of making/getting someone to make cool propaganda fliers for Icesus. Then scatter some of them around the local university. Might attract new players that way. I just have no experience in making fliers, so that has been postponed for now. At least th...

Partying, and thus connecting with other people from the community, is a decisive adhesive to keep the players coming back for more. I find it very alarming, long-term wise, that soloing is more encouraged than partying ever has been. Sure, some eqmobs need teamwork to gun down and it is fun to make...

itchy zap-fingers
Therefore, what we end up with are a lot of veteran players who are too invested in the game to want to become wizards (since you lose your mortal character, etc) and a lot of new players who are too inexperienced for the job. But since it's still an all-or-nothing transition from mortal to wizard,...

Douhnin, balancing artisans when making equipment is concerned is if not impossible, extremely difficult to balance out. As smiths can produce equipment on par with eq-mob drops because of shards and even without if you roll majorQ. And shards in general hinder this system imho, since one slot item...

dev-elopers
Yeah, it seems that full wizards are preoccupied with higher priorities (life, work, girlfriend(s), archery, master's thesis etc) than having the time and motivation to perform quality check on devwizardly content. Quality check is, of course, heavier if the area is larger, or has funky content. Dev...
