Fishing in right terrain type with correct type of lure increases your chances of actually luring something to your hook. Having correct type of lure for certain fish type increases your changes of actually catching that fish. Specific type lures (for example salmon lure) are more effective than broad range lures (small fish lure). Naturally having wrong type of lure in wrong terrain or for that fish type is bad.
