I would like to see about helpin code for icesus but I have a few questions first.
1.) must coder become a wizard over time an stop playing the game?
2.) what programs/resources would I need?
3.) would being a programming major with knowledge of VB 6.0 and starting C++ an VB .NET help me at all with learning?

1. no.
2. Web browser, mud client, text editor and ftp-client.
3. all kind of programming experience is good. Any experience with C-based languages (C, C++, Java, PHP....) is even better.

an ftp client let you share your files and stuff, for others with a ftp client to download. it stands for File Transfer Protocol

if you use windows, then type 'ftp' (without quotes of course) in run-dialog and there you got a ftp-client.

While I don't wiz on this mud I sometimes code on a couple of other muds, (not lpc based unfortunately) and would be willing to learn how to adapt my skills to icesus.
A course would be useful to this end.
