Cancun

If Cancun are "close relative to the thri-kreens, rather like the derro are to the dwarves." How come they have different item slots. Only one pair of legs and feet and one cloak, and they can wear gloves (on their one big claw). Or is the description in the race guide wrong?

Close relative doesn´t mean that they should be identical, they can just inherit the same gene-pool (ie. long ago their original race divided into two different to survive in different kind of areas). Remember that they are both insects, not humanoids. Also, thri-kreens and cancuns have several similiarities, including the same basic skeleton structure (although cancuns have less limbs), very similiar chitiniuous skin (different in colour) AND most of all, they are many similiarities in the state of mind (although this cannot be confirmed, after all they are both alien in nature).
