New 'Who' Command
perhaps theres a way to code in "Who <off/def/blaster/healer>"
add a set partyrole <___>
make putting parties together a bit easier.. less scrolling through multiple guild lists and stuff.
yes I know i'm lazy.

it would jsut be quite nice to type
"Who unidle off-tank"
than
"Who unidle guild shapeshifter
Who unidle guild monk
Who unidle guild army
Who unidle guild templar
Who unidle guild ranger"
or "who unidle guild blaster" rather than
"who unidle guild mage
who unidle guild psionicist
who unidle guild sorcerer
who unidle guild archer"

I implemented:
Though healer is the same as air_priest for any forseeable future and blaster is a bit odd since it contains anyone in archers and a lot of those people can't shoot worth beans.
Likewise tank doesn't tell between off tank and def tank since that is hard.
Oh well.. Use it a while and if you want refinement post more.
Code: Select all
who guild healer
who guild tank
who guild blaster

I think this change adds very little, if anything, to the who command since looking through individual main guilds was 100% suitable for the task already. As it stands, most parties look for a specific type of blaster to work with and having them all jumbled up into one big mess doesn't really do anyone any good. Likewise, most parties look for specific types of tanks and presenting them in one uninformative lump is tedious at best.
I look at it as a stepping stone. The experienced party leaders will never use it. But for newbies trying to figure out how to pull together a party they may use it for a while before they become "party member connoisseurs".
"who guild share unidle" would have been good too, but that assumes you know all the people you would party with and is not as trivial to code.
