Improved alias command.

Post by artic »

Currently when u type alias to remember that one alias you made for that spell a week ago, u get a list of 100 aliases and your still looking for a needle in a haystack. So i suggest some of the following:

* Alias classes. when making an alias you can make the alias of a certain class with a flag. by default all Aliases are 'nromal' class.
exampl: 'alias -c air_priest heal cast healing touch' would create the alias 'heal' into the lass 'air_priest' , so that if u type 'alias -c air_priest' u get all aliases in that class.

* Alias with search. 'alias -s touch' will go through all the 100 aliases and show only those that have 'touch' somewhere in them.
so it would show alias 'cast healing touch' but not the alias 'cast healing breeze'

Sounds like a Good Thing(tm).

Here's another improvement - Aliases should be displayed in alphabetical order...to make finding even easier.
This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 160 character limit.

That alphabet thingy sounds too difficult for me to comprehend :/

Is it like they would be in somekind of order?
Oh, wait, they already are alphabetized.

Can't find something? Use zmud and the 'find' command from the top menu, under 'edit' or you can <drumming> scroll backwards.

Added "alias -seach xxx" to show aliases with "xxx" in their expansion.

I use SSH to my box using putty, then connect to Icesus using tf. I like it more than my old zmud by far. If you are using straight ssh > box > telnet > Icesus, then try some tf if you have the ability to install.
