idea: skill list tuning

Post by slakufax »

How about the tuning the skill list ?

I have the problem, when I type skill that the pager gets active and I need to press enter for the next part of the skill list.

Actually I don't want to see all skills each time, but most times I want to control just one or a few skills.

I would most appreciate a skill command that is able to select skills by name

skill X - list all skills beginning with "X" (i cannot think about a skill that begins with X. We need a new skill beginning with X !).
skill type combat - list all skills that affect combat

(detect if the first character of the second word is uppercase or lowercase to make parsing easy).

Thanks for thinking about that.

Ranger. That is all it takes. Osma the level 38 ranger has 67 skills. And that is not training alot of skills that i dont need. If you have a larger typefont, that can be 2-3 pages long. And i havent even joined ranger-lords. From what i have seen just from the info screen, getting one level in that guild will give me another 5-10 skills i dont have.

I updated the "skills" command syntax. Maybe that will take care of this. You can now ask about a specific skill, or a category of skills.
