I once talked a bit with Misrobo about this, he seemed to think it would be a good ability for a new or existing guild, as long as the obvious problems could be worked out. I think the ability to "possess" npc's (with appropriate restrictions) could be something to consider, pehaps some time of astral projection guild of some sort. As I said, this is just a rough idea, and I'd love to see some input!
