playerkilling made inconvinient

Post by Guest »

you know the true age part of the score? if someone assasinated a player or just killed someone because they could, a wizard could put an indicator on them stating that anyone can kill them for 1 full true time day, so 24 hours of game time after they killed, the player killing rules would apply to them again. making it incredibly inconvinient to kill someone.

A major difficulty in assessing player kills is that it takes quite a bit of effort to substantiate that a kill was indeed executed on the basis of "because they could".

To this end, the requirements of an issue have been raised to enable adequate information to be provided for the administrator investigating the killing. However, the amount of issues where sufficient evidence of an unreasonable player kill has been made available, is relatively low.

Therefore, the idea put forth about the 24 hours of unrestricted reprisal would, due to the aforementioned reasons, be applied rarely. This is not to undermine the suggestion, but rather to exclamate the difficulties the administration encounters in establishing unlawful player kills.

Personally I'm all for the idea of reducing the role of the administration in controlling the players' adherence to the game rules. However, the player killing regulations have proven to be one of the most controversial rules to be reasonably and impartially enforced by fellow mortals.

All suggestions on how to improve the current system of detecting and preventing illicit player kills are hence very welcome. :)

i sort of ment this for the more blantent player killers, the ones that kill and brag about it. :x i don't know if that is a problem, but if it is, then this might help. also it might get the killing out of their systems without the getting booted out of the game, especially if the other people with the killing tendencies are the enforcers. and to discurage them from killing just to get in a good fight, a relaliatory fight could have very severe exp consecuences or even attacks by the undead in the nether plane to make it very hard to get the other parts of the soul.
