In brief, player should be able to hire npc's (not just mounts, other rangers, priest, etc) to fight with them> They should also become stronger as your player becomes stronger. Is there something like this in the game already?

Two guilds already have the 'NPC fights for you' thing going for them, and mounts will do the occasional hit in melee.
