If there are ties, and if the bet is set at a specific amount there will be: the players that are tied will role a 1000 sided dice 1 time and the top howevermany are then selected to sit at the final table. There would also be a time limit for the amount of time from the anouncement of the tied players over the event-channel to when they can role their dice...say a quick five minutes or so. Within the same amount of time the players that made it to the final table must show up in the room, else forfit the chance of winning the pot.
Once the time is up for everyone showing up for the final table those players in the room that are supposed to be in the tournament are dealt 3 more hands. And must use the winnings from the pre-tournament round to gain as much cash as possible. The top cash winner after the final table is awarded all the cash that was collected from the pre-tournament round (all money collected and won in the pre-tournament round, the cash won at the final table, and the minimal pot(say 100k or so) would be awarded to the top cash winner of the final table. (a lot of money if quite a few people join in the fun and the buy in is decent)
I know this seams a bit complicated so i would appreciate and suggestions to make it not so.
