New air priest spell idea.

Post by artic »

A new spell called sanctuary. Tradeing a couple of df against the god protection the room would be declared safe like the inns and ferries are for a considerably long period of time. So you could not start any offencive skills or spells and couldnt start a fight. If an undead enters the room he will recive a severy damage and the spell effect would be negated.

Dont know if this could be done, just an idea that popped in m head...

Actually Sanctuary spell is quite familiar to us who have played D&D or BG or NWN or.....

In those the spell worked like if you cast it you couldn't attack or cast offensive spells at anyone or the spell would go off; but you could heal..

This would certainly help priests solo as they casted it, wen't to a room with the monster in it and cast offensive spell and flee then..

I don't know, but with the spell name it falls with the same category as 'stoneskin' it's too used name; and i think atleast the spell name should be different.

Gaze of Pthuule - draws the goddesses attention to a room, people are too intimidated to attack. Maybe earth worshipers take a little damage, something on the scale of a dark elf at noon. Maybe air priests get a bump to their mastery gains for healing done in the room. Undead could take damage on entering, but be otherwise uneffected.

Greater Lethargy - "morbid drowsiness" by the dictionary. Players and mobs are unable to act. Might improve some regen, maybe not. Certainly no attacking, some skills ought to be allowed, like meditating? Others not, fletchery would seem to be out. Probably would not be fun to require yet another flag on each skill or a list of what is and isn't. Undead not effected, they've overcome greater lethargy than this.

Either way, the invoker would have to keep it going. They could end it at will.

Pacify
Tranquil domain
this is pinched from somewhere, don't exactly remember where... might be from MTG, which has quite a few spell names.
some of which might fit, like
cessation
humility
tranquility
