Yes, I'm (semi-)serious.
I haven't collected enough ideas to make this a mainguild, but a free subguild should be very possible.
Some clown skills:
Tickle battle maneuver (when in melee combat)
Kick should be more effective than in militia (because of bigger shoes )
I like the idea Labinac had about glow makeup. Not too powerful of course, maybe a maximum +1 bonus, and fades (like instant poison salve)
Maybe they should even be able to wear their clothes in an, uhmm, creative manner. Like my old silk-blue-leggings-in-head-slot idea...
Easier to gain reputation than losing it (you can't lose what you don't have, since nobody really respects clowns, right? )
And of course, clowns get party bonus, because, well, they lighten up every party!
Special weapons could be supersize foam hammers (yess!) and they should be able to use too small mounts (like the clowns in circus are driving micro-cars). Oh, and a special slot, the flower slot, where you can wear a squirting flower to add another special attack (but it has to be refilled). Guild item is, of course, the red clown nose (thanks, Luigivok), but not as suggested with a red glow. Red glow is offensive, and even I can't possibly think of an attack you do with the aid of your nose (the snot-flying-all-over emote doesn't count).
Of course all of this doesn't make sense. Do clowns ever make sense?
maybe an entertainer's subguild where you could learn to play songs (not magical ones or anything) and do magic tricks, like card tricks would be cool. song and dance, magic tricks, you know, the kind of things you would expect from a medieval jester, the clowns of medieval times.
merely for fun, merely for show, just like a real clown or entertainer.
