unplayed races

Post by drakken »

It would be nice if the more unplayed races like derro leprechaun brownie and halfling had a slight change and maybe a race ability to make them more playable.

Yes, it would be nice if all races would ahve racial abilities. However, i do not agree that the named races are unplayed. For one, derro is a played race as a shadowdacer.

Brownie is nice race for an air_priest for example and leprechaun is good for a mage etc.

I'm not sure if halflings are good for anything :) but that's just as it should be

Hear hear! Moraq is telling the truth!

There used to be a time (before archery tunes), where at least few people were able to do somewhat decent solo with a halfling ranger.

(Generally speaking, halflings are good for nothing and should be hunted down and killed on sight.)

However there are exeptions: Halflings are good for/in/as:

a) Target practice.
b) Medical experiments.
c) Necromantic components.
d) Getting lost into the lawn.
e) Ambushing ants to steal their food.
f) Piñata!

NO, I am not a racist! I just mildly dislike halflings/kenders and hobbits.

Why that is nonsense! A Halfling would make a mediocre choice for any guild!

I think it might be interesting for hobbits (halflings) to have an enhanced dodging capability and perhaps counterattack/momentary stun that only successfully works if you already have training in the associated skills such as dodge, avoid hits, defensive battle strategy, etc. It might give them a nice niche to play in. Perhaps make it affected by the same things that dodge is tested by (low weight, perhaps the type of armor they are wearing).
