Healing undeads with normal healing spells is impossible as they aren't actually living anymore. Cunning earth priests have deviced that by replacing damaged parts from their minion with new ones they can repair some of the damage it has sustained and slowly sew them back together. The act of mutilating a corpse to fix priest's minion is too much for most of the people but for the priests who have worked years with corpses and undeads it's not a big deal, it's only sensible to use otherwise useless bodyparts somewhere where they can actually still do something. Cutting pieces from corpses can be a hard task sometimes and a good knife is required. The skill can be also used without corpses and on players.
