Ice Con of the Americas

Just wanted to put the idea out about having an Ice con in the States for those of us who can't afford traveling abroad or speak finninsh very well. Anyone with ideas post here and we will go from there. Thinking maybe august or september? :D Feel free to post and or flame at will!

I think that would be a great idea, only thing is where... Try to figure out where most of play from and centralize it maybe? Other than that I would have no idea since finland is relatively small considered to states (no offence).

Right in between north and south america, and if you come with dollars, you will spend close to nothing.

So what? We had great fun in the israeli icecon. And it was only me and some homeless guy I met in the park.

I am in the midwest around Cincinnati OH, relatively close to Cleveland,Indy,Pittsburg,and Columbus OH. Would love to make a trip to Central America but that might be out of the question

I bet a lot of American players who don't log on that much stalk the forums. and I think that most of the American playerbase is in on the East coast.

Hey dude , maybe you dont know me, but i do play, i don' t just stalk the forum.

Anyways it was a thought and not that bad at it, let me explain:


1) Cost for Gas here in Venezuela : 60$ ( for the WHOLE YEAR), and I drive an SUV.

2) Cost for BEER : 5$ for a case of 36 ( yes its cheaper than water.)

3)Euro and $ Convertion rate is great so all of those interested can make it interesting as they would not be spending too much.

4) Some of the best rum in the world, for not that expensive ( i dont like rum so i don't know the prices)

5) oh and about 3500 Bs ( roughly 1eu) for a pack of Cigarrettes.

But hell lets do it in the states :
8$ for 12 pack
2.90$ per gallon of medium unleaded
4$ a pack
sucky rum. for lots o money!


OF COURSE i dont expect you guys to buy a ticket and come to us : By us i mean that although i m the only venezuelan playing atm, there are lots more :
Tagriel,Silvarion, Luiguivok, Alassea, Tharuk, Gabadriel, Dancar.

Hmm. myabe we dont need you and can have our own Venecon!

I think you're wrong. I could name (but won't since I don't know if they want me to tell everyone where the live) 4 people not including myself that log on almost every day who live right on the west coast.

US is a lot bigger than finland. I don't think anyone is willing to buy a plane ticket just to go to a mudcon and hang out with 8 people they don't know. I would only go if I could drive there(in a few hours) and if I knew some of the peopl going.. or if jarrun drives cause he lives so close to me :wink:
