The Void, despite being infinitely vast, is navigable mainly through sensing energy patterns. Any disturbances or anomalies within it are distinctly different from their surroundings and also from each other. A chronomancer can concentrate on these energy patterns and distinguish them. Those chronomancers who master this are more likely to find their way out from the Void, whereas those who do not become lost and eventually forgotten.
