With the perform command one can perform following rites:

- Perform a rite of success. You need a special skill to
  do it. This rite increases your chance of success when
  casting a spell.
- Perform a rite of power. Only skilled mages know how to
  do this rite. The effects are quite unknown.
- Perform a rite of replication. Only skilled mages know how to
  do this rite. It is rumoured to have an effect to spell swarms.
- Perform a rite of incitation. It affects spell impulses.

Priests need free divine favors and magic users need magic in
physical form when performing a rite
