With enough perseverance anyone can fell a tree, but to fell a tree safely, without wasted effort or damaging the main trunk of the tree requires great skill in felling. You can use nearly any axe to fell a tree, but a purpose made felling axe is best. You might get one at the logger's guild or have an artisan make one for you.
