This spell is offensive. This spell is related to elemental Anti-magic.
It is said that when the world was first conceived by the elemental gods, they did so with words. If a word can make, then it stands to reason that there will also be a word that can unmake. These primal words are a form of elder magic, and difficult for most creatures in the creation to grasp. During the history of the world, warlocks, dark sages, demon-worshipping cults, and mind-travellers of the eldritch dream-realities have uncovered fragments of the words and have eventually manages to unleash a part of their power. The most notable success has been discovered with the word of malediction, or Maledictum, as the dark grimoire it was transcribed in was called. This alien speech has the power to unleash insanity, dread, terror, and destruction. Currently, the grimoire is in the possession of the ancient Brelasean bloodline elders, and thus able to be harnessed by their faction. The power of The Word is also stressful to its user, consuming vitae when used.
Using Maledictum when you have an active blood matrix saps the vitae from
the blood matrix before it does from your body, but the matrix also reduces
overall stress caused by The Word.
Maledictum first erodes the supercharge in the blood matrix, if available, and if the supercharge gets fully eroded, the leftover stress is applied to the remaining blood matrix. Having an active supercharge does reduce the overall stress caused by The Word, which can be helpful. This spell is related to elemental Anti-magic.
