Self-control is one of the most important skills for the shapeshifters of Walmor as their spirit is merged with their chosen type of animal spirit.
As half of their own spirit thinks like an animal and another as a human, they have to be able to keep their animal lust and anger at bay.
Basically this means that a warrior, who has very good self-control, is able to perform these tasks and other stuff even if his companion spirit is angered at the moment.
