If an elder warrior wishes to master the slashing weapons ultimately, then he must learn the skill of chop, and masters of that skill are known to be the ultimate swordsmen, causing fear to their opponents merely with their reputation. The chop allows you to use the weapons even more effectively in combat, and score harder hits, and of course more often.
