Evasive combat methods include a multitude of efficient hit and run tactics along with numerous ways to attack your opponent without giving him the possibility of striking you in return. There is but one drawback -- the methods are only effective when you have someone else in the front row of a party to coordinate your attacks with.

If this requirement is met, evasive combat methods will increase the likelihood of your opponent picking someone else to attack instead of you. This is a valuable strategy, if you can dish out dangerous attacks, but do not have the same defensive capabilities to stand toe to toe with the opponent as your front row partner(s) has. The skill does not currently work on spells, special attacks or battle maneuvers.

For rangers, the proficiency in rural combat (skill), rural concealment (skill) and wilderness tactics (mastery) can augment the potency of evasive combat methods, modified by the foliage of the surrounding terrain. Rangers can also choose not to employ this skill in combat by switching it off with their guild item commands.
