With this spell component, the caster may channel more energy to the spell. Doing so the caster will be slightly more drained from the casting but in addition to the spell's normal effect it will also create a lingering effect on the target that will cause constant damage on the unfortunate victim. Damage of the lingering effect is determined by the base component of the spell, stronger spells create stronger effects. If a new lingering spell is cast while a previous effect is still in effect it will be refreshed and if the new effect is stronger it will replace the older effect and if it isn't the old effect stays on, but refreshed. Type of the damage can be also changed by casting a new spell of another type with lingering component. This spell is related to elemental Magic.
