Melee combat is a total chaos most of the time but many people have learned to perfect their eye for certain details and opportunities like for example to analyse potential damage done by different things or sensing danger in combat to keep yourself cool and out of harms way. On the other hand some people have tremendous situational awareness allowing them to exploit every move and mistake their opponents take to gain upper hand in combat and seize the momentum to their advantage.
