This discipline is used to assault the victim's ego and leave him with feelings of inferiority and worthlessness, making a lot less effective in combat and anything he tries to accomplish. The victim may even become so depressed that he is totally unable to use some of his skills or spells. One attempt may not be enough to disturb one's ego enough but with time and with subsequent attacks on the ego this discipline will prove to be a very effective way to make your opponents into crying wimps, and thus easy targets for a feared psionicist such as yourself.
