This spell is offensive.
As the early mages realized that direct target spells weren't efficient against multiple targets, they started researching ways to hit all the targets in the room. And of course the spell was developed so that it doesn't affect the caster and his party. The weakest of the spells was named as wind, and when conjured a wind of the specified damage type blows through the room damaging targets.
Example: 'cast wind of x' where x is the damagetype you wish to use.
