Introduction

The guild is about half-blooded dhamphirs who use their innate blood abilities on combat for various purposes. There are two branches in the guild; Ilyuktyev bloodline which uses their natural weapons in combat similarly to gaesati or monks meaning they will not need any weapon. They also employ variety of magical diseases to lay waste on their enemies. Swaizzone bloodline on the other hand is all about swordmanship and becoming the greatest swordman in the existence. They can use their weapon two-handed or one-handed which ever you choose to be better for yourself. Both of these ways have their own benefits.

The guild works mostly through combat momentums meaning that majority of skills and spells come through them and there are multitude of things that require reacting to things happening in combat, like for example putrefy disease maybe only invoked on target when he has wounds, necrosis disease gets applified by gangrenous eviscerate, ruinous touch causes all the diseases erupt simultaneously and to make things more complicated you don't need to follow just your own things but also other player's actions as for example gangrenous eviscerate works with covens by amplifying their scourges. In addition to this whole soul collecting requires you to pay attention to monster's health. This all means the guild requires very careful attention to play by design. If you don't play to your fullest you aren't going to get much out of the guild. Also the guild is not the cheapest one around and might require you to spend a lot of money and have decent amount of experience to work. Asking around before fucking up your reincarnation is advicable.

Joining the guild

  • As the guild cannot be reached if you aren't already a member of the guild or level 1 and suitable race here is some vital information about joining the guild.
  • Joining the Swaizzone bloodline also requires you to have a surname. Ilyuktyev bloodline does not have this requirement.
  • There is a dark servant near the entrance of the Old Graemor which can guide you forward.

Allowed races

Races that can join Scion main guild:

  • elf, human, dark elf, derro, orc, shadowperson, chitin, dwarf, gnome, halfling, leprechaun, reed, saerka, troll or brownie

Races that can join Swaizzone:

  • elf, human, dark elf, orc, chitine, derro, dwarf, shadowperson, halfling or leprechaun

Races that can join Ilyektuev:

  • elf, human, dark elf, derro, orc, shadowperson, chitine, dwarf, gnome, halfling, leprechaun, reed, saerka, troll or brownie

Races that can join Brelasean:

  • elf, human, dark elf, leprechaun, reed, shadowperson, gnome, derro, chitine, dwarf, halfling or brownie

Kingdom

You must be from one of the following: Bandit, Bloodaxe, Cenedoiss, Eskara, Graemor, Hegemony, Khazakul, Silverspire or Valkor (to join mainguild). NOTE: No confirmed info on possible kingdom resctrictions for each branch!

Guild structure

Scions of the cursed blood

Vampirism... thought by commoners to pass from a vampire to mortals through biting or drinking their blood. While there are multiple kinds of vampiric beings out there none of them are born or created through such methods. The most numerous lesser vampires are just weak undead creatures created by necromancy or dark powers. The more stronger strigoi vampires are minions of the priesthood of Earth, blessed by the powers of nether by god of Earth. These all pale in comparison to the true vampire bloodlines to where one is born, not created through mere magical means... and then there are the dhamphirs, scions of the cursed blood. As the true bloodlines wane and become fewer and weaker it is time for their descentants, the half-blood dhamphirs, take over their mantle and rule the night in their place. While certainly humanoid and nothing compared to their antecedents they are capable of showing immense power through the dark arts. As a dhamphir grows more powerful one can gain a reminiscence of the true horrors of the real bloodlines.

Road to eternal damnation is different for every dhamphir but usually it involves lots of conflicts, deaths and wandering in places where daylight holds no dominion and doesn't it dare to show itself to the deeds done there. As the dhamphir studies the dark arts and practices his blood legacy he succumbs more and more to his ancestor's ways and becomes closer and closer to the real vampires in his physical appearance and powers. This road is for the dhamphirs who have decided to join and serve the Swaizzone bloodline, who are dedicated their eternal life to mastering their swordsman skills and to try them against ever increasingly stronger foes.

Swaizzone bloodline

Swaizzone bloodline is one of the major bloodline that rule the night. The bloodline is led by Count Yirica Swaizzone, who resides in his mansion near the city of Cenedoiss. The Swaizzones are not particularly interested in meddling with the matters of mortals except for their own needs. Many of the true vampires of the Swaizzone bloodline spend their eternity honing their skills as an undefeatable swordsman and can occasionally join conflicts and wars of mortals or wander the lands in secrecy to test themselves against stronger and stronger foes. Dhamphirs following the bloodline are usually taught by the elder vampires about how to become a real swordsman without peer and naturally about the numerous dark arts to complement their melee skills when they aren't enough to bring down their foes.

Ilyuktyev bloodline

If you would need one phrase to describe this bloodline of vampires 'Bats in the belfry' wouldn't be too far fetched to describe them. Unlike Brelasean and Swaizzone bloodlines, who tend to act calm and reasonable, masters of beguiling, the Ilyuktyev tend to be not that much restricted by the chains of civilization and let everything they have loose upon their enemies. They excel in melee combat, prefering their natural weapons over creations of men to tear apart their foes and drink blood from their broken pieces. Eventhough they are much more brutal than the other bloodlines they are also able to master the dark arts and use them to their advantage by creating magical diseases to plague their unfortunate victims.

Road to eternal damnation

Road to eternal damnation is different for every dhamphir but usually it involves lots of conflicts, deaths and wandering in places where daylight holds no dominion and doesn't it dare to show itself to the deeds done there. As the dhamphir studies the dark arts and practices his blood legacy he succumbs more and more to his ancestor's ways and becomes closer and closer to the real vampires in his physical appearance and powers. This road is for the dhamphirs who have decided to join and serve the Brelasean, who are dedicated in mastering the dark arts and spell casting during their eternal life and to meddle with mortal kingdoms.

Brelasean bloodline

Brelasean are maybe the most prominent of the bloodlines. Their bloodline consists of multiple noble families, both vampire and mortal, who reside in the City-state of Cenedoiss. They directly deal and influence the mortals living there and meddle with politics and every day life. While only few residents of the know the true nature of the Brelasean family's masters even them tend to view them as quite benevolent force in the city-state. The Brelasean excel in influencing the mortals with their natural powers which has been one of the key reason they have been able to gain such standing in Cenedoiss. Little known secret though is that even though they seem the least harmful of the bloodlines they are in reality maybe the most dangerous as they do not have need to go out and directly drain life essence in form of blood from mortals as their mere presence allows them to leech life essence from the community they live in and from their servants and thralls. This draining has little immediate visible effect but over time it starts to build up and their subjects feel weak and stressed al the time, unable to recuperate which can lead to even death after long period of time. It also ensures that the bloodline has almost unlimited reserves of life energy at hand at any time while they are in Cenedoiss.

Catastrophic morbidity

Diseases are the favoured weapon of many vampires and their kin. They can be terrifying weapons that eradicate cities and villages from huge areas or they can be very minor and also not contagious at all if a vampire wants to infect just one person. Plague lords who have mastered the diseases can create outbreaks and epidemias with a snap of their fingers making them an extremely dangerous foe who might wipe out you and your whole kind before you figure out what is causing it before it is too late.

Death walks among us

Being a descentant of an undead being such as a vampire means that a lot of your life is going to circle around death, whether you want it or not as your whole existence is basically walking on the edge between life and undeath. Even if a dhamphir hasn't found out his dark destiny he might see and hear things other people might not. When dhamphir starts to deal with harvesting and manipulating souls he gets closer and closer to death itself and might eventually cross the border. This closeness to death itself allows them to harvest soul fragments and use power inside them to enhance their own abilities. As dhamphir's power over souls and closeness to undeath becomes stronger he can manipulate collections of soul fragments that combine powers of multiple soul fragments together into one. Using the abilities that are enhanced by soul collections allows the dhamphir to learn to manipulate them faster and easier.

Erudition of the undeath

For some reason vampires seems to possess some kind of dominion over mortals. Their mere presence causes them to act and behave irrationally and not only just because of the fear what meeting such a powerful being strikes into them. Many of the vampires sport thralls as their servants who are totally under the influence of the vampire, a lot of them willingly. Some of the vampires even have almost their own private armies consisting of numerous thralls and other beings. One of the most famous effects of this dominion is over animals, such as bats and wolves for example, which allows the vampires to use them as their pets. Erudition of undeath specifically affects dhamphir's influence over living and undeath beings with his inherited vampire powers.

Everlasting pugnacity

When your life expectancy is practically eternity you need a driving force to keep on living through all those decades and centuries. For most of the vampires this quite easy as having lived long enough it is easy to build up multiple grudges; against certain people, certain races, towns, cities and even nations. For a someone who is undying few centuries of grudgebearing is a fleeting moment that can be used to hone and perfect your skills and also to build up that hatred. While some of the people might have died of old age while perfecting those skills there is always their children and grandchildren and their children's children to plot your vengeance upon. And even if they are long dead that doesn't really matter since there is always new things and people to bear grudge upon. All this accumulates into an impressive knowledge of how to fight and how people act in combat situations which can be readily exploited by one possessing such knowledge.

Paragon of dark arts

Certain ancient vampires possess knowledge of magical arts that predate even the elemental priesthoods. While most of the magic involves powers of the elemental gods these vampires have passed on knowledge to their kin that gains its powers from other beings and dimensions. This forbidden knowledge is outlawed by all of the priesthoods and its practioners are usually quite swiftly executed as heretics as playing with such powers can be extremely dangerous and lead to catastrophic consequences of epic proportions. While mortals dabble with these kinds of powers and the knowledge required to use them resulting from their relatively short life span a vampire has all eternity to spend on studying and learning every kink of the dark arts and to learn to make no mistake when acquiring the untold powers that such knowledge can grant to them.

Reminiscence of the cursed blood

While dhamphirs are not true vampires themself their blood relation grants them access to powers that mere mortals can only dream of. These powers vary from a dhamphir to dhamphir depending on his relation to the true bloodlines but most of them are able to perform supernatural physical feats, practice blood magic and to heal even the most grievous wounds almost instantly. Like their ancestors they cannot do this without taxing themselves and need to feed on the blood of the living and gorge on their life essence. While some dhamphirs refuse to not succumb to this dark legacy and try fight against their urges most of the dhamphirs gladly accept it to gain the strength they have always wished to possess. As a dhamphir drains blood from the mortals and practices his blood magic and uses his inherited abilities he recall reminiscences of their ancestors and learn more and more about their true powers and become every day more like them. They might even become one of the true vampires if one lives long enough and manages to find a patron to guide him one his dark path.

Reign over darkness

One of the main things that dhamphirs learn from their forbidden lore is to channel energies from the shadowy realm between the living world and nether that overlays both dimensions. Spells that they use gain their powers from this realm and when dhamphir becomes accustomed with the powers using them becomes all the time easier and less effortless. Darkness and shadows of the living world are connected to the realm of shadows and this gives dhamphirs massive power over them so that they can bend them according to their will to be used in combat both as offensive and defensive measures such as the instrument of oblivion of Swaizzone bloodline or shadowleap that allows them move from shadow to shadow between unimaginable distances.

Swordsman without peer

While Brelasean and Ilyuktuev have decided to use their eternity to meddle with mortal kindgoms the Swaizzones have decided to use theirs to become the ultimate melee fighters. Travelling through the lands they seek stronger and stronger beings to defeat in combat and to learn new ways of handling their blade. They are known to become mercenaries to even surprising masters in exchange of getting to try themselves or to get teaching. Some of the most important members of the bloodline carry specifically crafted vampire blades while others use powerful magical swords. There are even some who choose to use normal swords saying that using a magical weapon hinders your ability to become the ultimate swordman.
